Ryan Soper

Ryan Soper — Host of CISO Chronicles

Ryan Soper is a senior cybersecurity leader and U.S. Veteran with 15+ years operationalizing security across enterprise IT, cloud, and critical infrastructure. His work spans penetration testing (network, web, mobile, cloud, ICS/OT), security program build-outs, and advising leadership on risk and resilience.

Beyond the day job, Ryan gives back through the community: he is OWASP Tampa Co-Leader and a board member of the Area Maritime Security Committee — Western Florida (AMSC-WF), where he helps shape maritime security posture across the region.

He started CISO Chronicles because the most valuable conversations in security happen behind closed doors — in boardrooms, budget meetings, and incident war rooms. This show is a place for security leaders to speak candidly, without vendor spin or keynote polish, about what it really takes to defend an organization.

Ryan is based in the Tampa Bay area with his wife and two daughters.

About CISO Chronicles

CISO Chronicles exists because the most important conversations in security don't happen at vendor booths or conference keynotes. They happen in boardrooms, budget meetings, and late-night incident calls — places the public never sees.

Every guest on this show is a security leader who has been in the room when it matters. No marketing. No sanitized talking points. Just real discussions about what it actually takes to secure an enterprise.

New episodes every two weeks. The chronicles continue.
