Ryan Soper is a senior cybersecurity leader and U.S. Veteran with 15+ years operationalizing security across enterprise IT, cloud, and critical infrastructure. His work spans penetration testing (network, web, mobile, cloud, ICS/OT), security program build-outs, and advising leadership on risk and resilience.
Beyond the day job, Ryan gives back through the community: he is OWASP Tampa Co-Leader and a board member of the Area Maritime Security Committee — Western Florida (AMSC-WF), where he helps shape maritime security posture across the region.
He started CISO Chronicles because the most valuable conversations in security happen behind closed doors — in boardrooms, budget meetings, and incident war rooms.
